From executive producers Stephen King and Jack Bender (From) comes a brand new sci-fi horror series with The Institute, which will be released next month.

The Institute follows the story of teen genius Luke Ellis, who is kidnapped and awakens at The Institute, a facility full of children who all got there the same way he did and who are all possessed of unusual abilities. In a nearby town, haunted former police officer Tim Jamieson has come looking to start a new life, but the peace and quiet won’t last, as his story and Luke’s are destined to collide.

Directed by Jack Bender (From, Lost, Alias, Mr. Mercedes) from a teleplay by Benjamin Cavell (Justified, The Stand) and based on the novel by Stephen King, the series stars Mary-Louise Parker (Weeds) as Ms. Sigsby, Ben Barnes (Shadow And Bone) as Tim Jamieson, Joe Freeman as Luke Ellis, Simone Miller (Run the Burbs) as Kalisha, Fionn Laird as Nick, Hannah Galway (Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities) as Wendy, Julian Richings (Man of Steel) as Stackhouse, Robert Joy (From) as Dr. Hendricks and Martin Roach (The Umbrella Academy) as Chief Ashworth.

The Institute premieres on 13 July 2025 on MGM+
